There is a saying that whatever you resist or cling to will persist and what you be with will complete itself. This philosophy is so profound because it is a direct link to why people suffer.
We cling to thoughts, beliefs, outworn our values, relationships, things and so much more. We think we know what is right and what is wrong, and attempt to control all aspects of the world. We forget that there are something’s we have no control over, and that there are some things we do have control of. We avoid making hard choices. We live like we will live forever, and like our choices don’t impact our lives or the lives of others.
All these areas are ways we live in an illusion rather than reality. I think this happens because we want to create a different reality rather than what our reality really is. If we focused on what is, we would have to face the hard things, the things we don’t understand, the things we want to reject or the things we would rather just pretend don’t exist at all.
To me this seems like a trance like life. I want to awaken, to be aware, to be present. If you don’t choose to focus on releasing what doesn’t serve you and stop fighting the inevitable change, you will create a life of suffering. I don’t think this is why we were created. I think we were created to evolve, to blossom into a higher state. This brings me to the question of the day. Why can’t you trust yourself? It’s almost like we tether ourselves to everything we don’t want in life so we don’t have to go for what we do want.
The conclusion I have drawn is that this is what we do because at our core we all believe we are unworthy of the greatness of something bigger than us. I want you to know this is just untrue. You are loved and worthy. By releasing the need to resist or cling, you allow yourself to be with the bounty that was created for you.
I think of the trees and how simply they let go, let fall the riches of a season, how without grief (it seems) they can let go and go deep into their roots for renewal and sleep… Imitate the trees. Learn to lose in order to recover, and remember than nothing stays the same for long, not even pain, psychic pain. Sit it out. Let it all pass. Let it go.

I hope this touches your life today and you begin the process of letting go, so you can come back into alignment with the universe.
